Through simple acts—building relationships, listening to men's stories, bringing them to church, and connecting them to rehabilitation—the Reeds began to see what could happen when someone refused to give up on a life.
Kipepeo MinistriesGive HopeOur story
It began with one
simple yes.
What began with building relationships and walking alongside men in their struggles has grown into a movement of hope and transformation.
A calling to Kilimanjaro
Love showed up.
Hope took root.
For more than 15 years, Denny and Sarah Reed have followed God's call to serve across East Africa. Along the way, the Lord revealed a deep and urgent need among men trapped in drug and alcohol addiction.
Denny and Sarah established Kipepeo Ministries. Kipepeo means “butterfly” in Swahili—a picture of the transformation they believe is possible through Jesus Christ.
Men have given their lives to Jesus, with many now discipled, connected to local churches, and supported as they rebuild their lives and restore relationships.
Kipepeo is launching Kilimanjaro's first Christ-centered inpatient drug and alcohol recovery center: a safe home where men can find spiritual and practical freedom and walk forward as new creations.
What we believe
“No one is too far gone
from the love of God.”
We invite you to prayerfully partner with Kipepeo and become part of the transformation God is bringing to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.
